  • 1. Two National-Level Policy Endorsements

Since its establishment in 2024 at Yazhouwan National Laboratory, the CLAC-SFIC has been aligned with two national strategic frameworks: the China-CELAC Joint Action Plan on Key Areas of Cooperation (2025–2027) and the Third Policy Document on China’s Policy toward Latin America and the Caribbean.

On May 10, 2026, CLAC-SFIC awarded the “Brazil Soybean Breeding Platform” to Longping Brazil.

  • 3. High-Impact Joint Publication with Embrapa Soja

In collaboration with Embrapa Soja (Brazil), CLAC-SFIC co-authored a perspective article on the future development of soybean over the next decade, published in the internationally recognized journal Molecular Plant. This work highlights joint scientific insights and strengthens global visibility.

  • 5. International Outstanding Youth Project Under Application

CLAC-SFIC is currently applying for a MOST International Outstanding Young Scientist Cooperation Project, aiming to invite outstanding young scientists from Latin America to conduct joint research on tropical soybean stress-tolerant breeding and precision germplasm characterization.
